The top eight Boy’s teams have been confirmed, while the Girls' teams will compete in their final pool matches tomorrow afternoon

The day 2 matches of the “2025 South China Group 22nd Asian Junior Squash Team Championships” were completed today (Feb 13) at Hong Kong Squash Centre.

In Men’s Pool A, the top seed Team Republic of Korea secured their top in the pool yesterday with two wins, while the 7th seed Team Kuwait also advanced to the top 8 after defeating the 10th seed Team Sri Lanka by 3-0. The 2nd seed Team Malaysia beat the 15th seed Team Mongolia 3-0, finishing their pool matches as the winner of Pool B with three wins and 9 points. The 9th seed Team Singapore caused an upset by defeating the 8th seed Team Qatar in straight sets and will face the top seed in the quarterfinals tomorrow.

The 3rd seed Team Hong Kong, China played their final pool match today against the 13th seed Team Chinese Taipei. Wong Wing Kuen, Cheng Justin Hong-chen, and Mak Tsun Hei all secured comfortable 3-0 victories, leading the team to finish as the winners of Pool C with 8 points. Meanwhile, the 5th seed Team Japan also claimed their place in the quarterfinals with a total of 7 points after defeating the eleventh-seeded Team Thailand. In Pool D, the 6th seed Team Pakistan triumphed over the twelfth-seeded Team Macau, China, 3-0, finishing first with 8 points, while the fourth-seeded Team India advanced to second place in the pool with 7 points.

In the Girl’s event, the top-seeded Team Hong Kong, China, competed in their final two matches today. In the morning, Cheung Tsz Ching, Kwong Ena, and Tang Helen dominated their opponents from the 5th seed Team Singapore. In the evening, the team altered their lineup to include Kwong Ena, Leung Ka Huen, and Tang Helen to face the 4th seed Team Republic of Korea. They ultimately achieved full victories in all pool matches, securing their place in the quarterfinals as the winners of Pool A. Meanwhile, the second-seeded Team Malaysia remains undefeated with 12 points, leading in Pool B, while the 3rd seed Team India is currently in second place.

The Boy’s Quarter-finals will take place tomorrow at the squash centre, with our home team competing against Team India at 12:30 PM to fight for a spot in the Semifinals. Besides, other Girl’s pool matches will be held tomorrow afternoon.
